Restaurants on Hvar Island keep generally high standard, but not nearly as good as Passarola. After several dinners in different restaurant, we found this pearl of a restaurant just a few steps away from the main square in Hvar. Passarola became our regular dinner place for the last three days we were in Hvar town. Here you can enjoy tasty cuisine in top class, and at least as cheaply as the other restaurants in Hvar. The service is flawless and the waiters tell you more than willing the source of the local cuisine, as recommended wines.
The atmosphere is modern and beautiful. The rooftop terrace is unique, and especially romantic in an evening of moonlight.
All the dishes we ate were delicious and the food is presented in a tasteful manner.
Smoked tuna carpaccio appetizer is fantastic. The same is the beef, lamb and the local fish soup (Hvarska Gregada) for main dishes. Semifredo is a dessert you will remember for life.
